I live in Spring valley, San Diego and want to know if its ok to be shooting it at targets with an air rifle pellet gun. The target I’m using is a 1 inch piece of wood in front of a concrete wall. The pellet has no way of leaving the premises of my yard and I am under supervision of someone over 18.

   best to check with local authorities, each city has its own rules. also wood is not a good backstop for a pelletgun. best to tape together a pile of old magazines! ive seen pellets richochette off of wood or knock a hole in it and go thru.

   no as long as you have supervision and safety gear you are fine. but you should get a new backstop they could ricochet and hurt you

   If you’re in any Municipality, there’s probably a law against it.
   If you’re in your back yard, and nobody is being bothered,
   there’s little chance you will be troubled.
