San Diego

You and your family have moved from San Diego, where you surfed every day, to Aspen, Colorado. You didn’t like it at first. You thought it was too cold, and you had a hard time breathing at this higher altitude because there was less oxygen to breathe. However, after 6 weeks you are learning to ski; the cold temperatures and higher altitude don’t seem to bother you as much. Is this because over the last 6 weeks you have genetically adapted to your new environment?
