San Diego Mold Removal and Water Damage Restoration Professionals
Filed Under Home Improvement | Comments Off
San Diego has many skilled mold removal and water damage restoration professionals that can help you safely and effectively recover your home from damage. The men and women who restore homes after mold or water damage that need restoration are highly qualified, dedicated people who can often be out at your San Diego home in very little time after you call on them. There is a lot of intricate work that has to be done when mold results from water damage, and the restoration of your home is in the hands of the methods that professionals use to get rid of that mold.
There are many ways that a San Diego contractor can remove mold during home restoration. What methods they choose to use depends on many things, such as the size of the contaminated area, how much mold is in the area, how complex the mold is and what kind of mold it is, and what tools he has to use for the restoration. For a very small space about 10 sq.ft. or less, restoration is done by cleaning the mold and saving non porous materials with a strong detergent that will kill the mold. Porous items are not salvageable; it is the porous items that quickly house mold, where it rapidly multiplies. If the area to be rid of mold is 10 30 sq. ft. in area, the previous tactics are used, with the addition of covering work areas in plastic before the restoration and using a HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air) filter to trap any mold that is floating around in the air, just waiting to land somewhere and begin to multiply.
For larger moldy areas needing restoration, there are very specialized techniques that are used for removing mold and moldy materials. Many different kinds of HEPA filters, cleaners, vacuums, wet vacuums, disinfectants, and personal protective equipment are needed to properly address mold restoration issues. Safety precautions are absolutely critical to prevent illness from mold exposure. Also, without careful preparation and strong preventative measures being taken, the mold can and does easily spread. Some of the protective gear that a San Diego professional needs are gloves, goggles, disposable clothing, and respirators of different types to prevent them from breathing in the mold.
So, once the San Diego mold restoration specialist is suited up, what does he do to get rid of the mold and start restoration? Some of the techniques that San Diego professionals can do for their customers are steam cleaning, washing with special detergent solutions, and gamma ray irradiation. Even though the gamma ray irradiation sounds fancy, complicated, and effective, studies have actually found that good old bleach detergent solutions are the most effective, followed by the gamma ray irradiation for the mold. Restoration can also be helped by using products such as blasting the mold with sodium bicarbonate or using chlorine dioxide gas to kill the mold without getting rid of materials.
When you need serious help with home restoration from a serious (or not yet serious) mold problem, contact a San Diego professional, and do it fast mold begins to multiply within 24 hours!

A new short film about the DEA’s recent SDSU drug bust, the conclusion of a sting operation that resulted in almost 100 arrests, including students majoring in criminal justice and Homeland Security. The ongoing sting operation that lead to the arrests was a direct response to the death of San Diego State University student Shirley ‘Jenny’ Poliakoff from an overdose last year.
An extended-length version of this short film can be viewed for free @ http://www.AmericanDrugWar.com.

What requirements are there to cross the border from San Diego to Tijuana?
Filed Under San Diego | 3 Comments
I’m going on a trip to San Diego this weekend, and if we have time, we wanted to go to Tijuana. I know you don’t need a passport, but what do you need?
Only answer if you know, not if you “think” you know. P.S. I did search the internet, I couldn’t find a solid answer. Obviously I would search the internet before asking on here.

I’m doing a report for my AP Art History class on a religious structure here in San Diego. Though I live here, I only know of a couple, and those have already been taken by other people (different structures for each person).
I’ll need a couple interesting and beautiful religious structures, but not too hard to look up information on.

What should I wear to a corporate dinner in San Diego in October?
Filed Under Fashion & Accessories | 3 Comments
We will be attending a corporate dinner on a maritime museum ferry(Berkley?) in the evening mid October in San Diego. It will be docked. I have never been to California so not sure of appropriate dress for the time of year and just want details of what I should wear. Don’t want to be overdressed/underdressed. Another wife that will be attending said she would probably wear some sort of flirty dress. I’m not sure what that means. Thanks for any advice.

My husband and I are looking for homes or condos priced below $350,000. Would we be able to find that outside of San Diego, or is it just too expensive there?
